The cities of Cattolica and Gabicce Mare have the pleasure of hosting the 9th edition of the “GRANFONDO SQUALI TREK” from 10 to 12 May 2024.
The “GRANFONFDO SQUALI” project was born on the roads of the Giro d’Italia and is made up of 2 challenging and stimulating routes, but at the same time also fun and characterized by fantastic landscape sections (San Bartolo Natural Park, Urbino) between hills and the sea of Marche and Romagna:
The double start is set from “PARCO LE NAVI” in Cattolica, with the finish in Gabicce Monte, with a fantastic meal of grilled fish.

GRANFONDO route
Mileage: 128 km
Altitude difference: 2020 m
Longest climb: Monte Altavelio-Osteriaccia.
Most important climbs:
from Mercatino Conca to Monte Altavelio-Osteriaccia,
from Pavilion to Belvedere Fogliense and then Mondaino,
Ascent of Tavullia,
Overview of San Bartolo.
Maximum gradient: From Pavilion to Mondaino, various climbs between 12 and 14%.
MEDIOFONDO route
Mileage: 85 km
Difference in altitude: 1393 m
Longest climb: Climb from Morciano to Saludecio and Mondaino.
Most important climbs:
Climb from Morciano to Saludecio and Mondaino,
Ascent of Tavullia,
Overview of San Bartolo.
Maximum gradient: Peaks of 8% between Saludecio and Mondaino.

SQUALI GRAVEL, along the dirt roads of the Romagna hinterland.,
open to everyone with gravel bikes, mtb, e-bike, e-gravel.
“Sharks 46” in honor of Valentino Rossi
a shorter and lighter route, called SQUALI 46, 46 km long like Valentino Rossi’s magic number, suitable for everyone with racing bikes, MTBs or even e-bikes, escorted by guides.
The departure is scheduled as for the other two routes, from the Cattolica Aquarium, on May 12th with refreshment in the center of Tavullia, near the Valentino Rossi VR46 Store.
Finish line, in Gabicce Monte with final refreshment based on blue fish, piadina and beer.
The registration fee for Squali 46 is 39 euros.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Prima Coccola association, for children who need care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Rimini Hospital.
